Sparkling Shamrock

This tutorial was written on March 29, 2012 by Val aka LostAngel Graphics. The concept of the tag is mine and mine alone. Any resemblance to any other tag/tut is pure coincidence. This was written for those with working knowledge of PSP.
Supplies Needed:
++Paint Shop Pro (I used 12 but any version should work)
++Scrap kit by BLT DeZignZ called Sparkling Shamrock which is PTU and can be found
Note you must have a valid license in order to use his work.
++Font of choice

Let’s get Started!
Open a new image 600 x 600 (you can resize it later if you would like), transparent background.
Open BLT_STPat_PP20 in psp.
Copy and paste as a new layer.
Open Vix_Mask452 or a mask of choice.
Go to Layers, New Mask Layer and select the mask of choice, makes sure source luminance is checked and invert mask data is unchecked. Hit ok.
Merge group.
Open BLT_STPat_Frame5 in psp.
Copy and add as a new layer.
Resize by 60 %.
Open BLT_STPAT_PP8 in psp.
Copy and paste as new layer.
Move below frame layer.
Highlight frame layer.
Select magic wand tool.
Click inside of frame.
Go to Selections, Modify, Change to 1.
Selections, Invert.
Go back to paper layer and hit delete.
Select None.
Copy and paste tube of choice.
Move it between frame and paper layer.
Resize if need to now.
Add any drop shadows if you would like.
Duplicate.
Move duplicate above frame layer.
Select eraser tool.
Erase any parts of tube layers that are showing below the frame.
(Make sure you do this on both tube layers).
Open BLT_STPat_PotGold in psp.
Copy and paste as new layer.
Move to lower left of frame.
Resize it by 50% then again by 80%.
Open BLT_STPat_Sparkles in psp.
Copy and paste as new layer.
Resize by 20%.
Place over pot of gold.
Open BLT_STPat_WordArt1 in psp.
Copy and paste as new layer.
Resize by 30%.
Move to upper right corner.
Now time to add any extra embellishments you would like. This scrapkit is full of lots of extra goodies. So get creative.
Add your correct copyright.
Add your name
Save and your done.

Happy St. Patty's Day Tut

Supplies Needed:

Let’s get Started!
Open a new image 600 x 300 (you can resize it later if you would like), transparent background.
Select your rectangle tool.
Use the following settings:
Line width set to 4
Foreground set to 185623
Background set to null
Draw a rectangle about the size of your canvas. (You can resize later if you need to later).
See example below.
Convert to raster when you are happy with it.
OpenP4dsd_PaperBlast in psp.
Copy and paste as a new layer.
Resize by 50%.
Move below rectangle layer.
Highlight rectangle layer.
Select your magic wand tool.
Click inside of rectangle.
Selections, modify, 3.
Selections, invert.
Go to paper layer.
Hit delete
Select none.
Copy and paste tube of choice as a new layer.
Resize if you need to.
Open P4dsd_PotofGold in psp.
Copy and paste as a new layer.
Resize by 40% and then by 60%.
Move to the left of the tag.
See my tag above for placement.
Open P4dsd_Sparkles in psp.
Copy and paste as a new layer.
Resize by 10% and then by 30%.
Move the sparkles over the pot of gold.
Open P4dsd_Coins in psp.
Copy and paste as a new layer.
Resize by 50% and then by 60%
Place in front of the pot of gold.
Duplicate as many as times as you would like.
Get creative. Make your pot of gold runneth over. Lol
Open P4dsd_Rainbow in psp.
Copy and paste as new layer.
Resize by 70%.
Move below pot of gold layer.
(Uh Oh we have covered up our tube layer. Don’t worry we’ll fix that)
Duplicate the rainbow.
Move the duplicated rainbow layer below your tube layer.
So now you have a rainbow layer above your tube layer and below your tube layer.
Go to the rainbow layer that is above you tube layer.
Select your eraser tool.
Using the eraser, erase any parts of the rainbow that is covering up the tube.
You want to make it look like the rainbow is coming out from behind you tube.
Now time to add any extra embellishment you would like. Get creative. This scrapkit is full of gorgeous things to add to your tags to make them even more special.
Add your correct copyright information.
Add your name.
Save.
And you are done.
